Racking up More than Rejections: Shards in Exegesis

So, the ripples of goodness from July’s Submission Bonanza! are still rolling in.  (Rejections are still rolling in too, so it is true that I am racking up rejections, but these small victories overshadow the rejections by so much.)  It’s amazing what happens when you just decide to put yourself out there.  I wasn’t expecting much back except for some experience and some notches on my writing bedpost.

But I’m in the latest issue of Exegesis, an academic journal at Royal Holloway, University of London.  They published Shards, a short short of mine, in their third issue: Landscapes:Digital, Real, Imagined.

Woohoo!

  1. BRAVO BRAVO, love it. Yes if you don’t put yourself out there you can’t reap the reward of (any) acceptances haha This last round for me most of it is still out there (not rejected yet?) and I’ve gotten some rejections, but that goes with the territory. I’m about to start a new round. EXCELLENT of you, and thanks for sharing. 🙂

  2. I’m sure this won’t be the last. Keep us up to speed as they come in……… also any interesting rejection letters…….. they can be encouraging as well.

  3. Congratulations! Shards is a beautiful piece of writing.

I’m definitely going to have to do a submission bonanza myself. It would be fabulous to have that kind of challenge to get more words out there and see what happens. 🙂
